COVID-19 Updates

Is the PR studio open?

Our priority is to keep everyone safe and healthy. Our Flatiron studio is currently closed in accordance with the government mandate until further note.

When will the studio re-open?

We will continue to closely track every new development related to COVID-19 and follow the guidance of government authorities in order to determine when the studio will re-open. We will email all PR account holders at that time and open the schedule on the website for booking classes. If you want to be updated but do not have a PR account, please create an account.

I booked a class between 3/17 and 3/23. Will I get a credit, and when will it expire?

Yes, you have received the class credit back in your PR account and we will extend the expiration date by 30 days once we re-open.

I have Series set to expire or recently expired. How long will I have to use them once you re-open?

All individual Runs will be extended for an additional 30 days after we re-open. For larger packs, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

I have a complimentary class set to expire or recently expired. How long will I have to use it once you re-open?

All complimentary classes will be extended for an additional 30 days after we re-open.

I am a REBEL10 finisher. Will I get an extension on my special class pricing?

We got you. We don’t know what this will look like yet (as we don’t know when we will re-open), but we will ensure our REBEL10 finishers are rewarded for all their efforts.

I miss Precision Run. How can I continue my training while you’re temporarily closed?

The weather is getting nicer out. In accordance with the CDC and state guidelines, we encourage you to go outside for a run when you are able. We will be sharing outdoor running guidance via email and social media. Create an account or follow us on Instagram @precisionrun for updates!

The Workout

What is a Precision Run? Will I be running the entire class?

Precision Run is a studio, an interval training method, and a class. During a Precision Run you can expect 50 minutes of engaging intervals that balance speed, incline, duration, and recovery. Every class is a unique run completely tailored to your level. The first 2-3 minutes of class consist of a self-led digital experience to find your Personal Record (PR), the fastest speed you can maintain for 1 minute. All your speeds in class are based on this number. You won't be running the entire time as there's a warmup, a cooldown, and several recovery intervals of walking or jogging.

I'm new to running/not in shape, will I be able to keep up?

Absolutely. What makes Precision Run so unique is that it's completely customizable to any fitness level. Every interval is based on your Personal Record (PR), the fastest speed you can maintain for 1 minute. You decide how fast or slow that number is and can change it to reflect whatever fitness level you're at.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable running in. As for shoes, we highly recommend that you wear running sneakers.

How early should I arrive?

At least 10-15 minutes before class. If it's your first time, please account for entering the studio 5 minutes early to complete the 2-3-minute self-led digital experience that helps you determine your Personal Record (PR).

How many calories will I burn in class?

This depends on your height, weight, and overall effort level. The treads will offer an estimation of calories burned based on your size, if you provide your age, weight, and height. Otherwise, calorie counts on treads are based on a 6ft, 150lb male.

Can I take Precision Run if I'm pregnant?

We're not medical professionals so check with your doctor before taking Precision Run.

How old do you have to be to take Precision Run?

All runners must be at least 15 years old. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent by completing a waiver form for minors.

What does PR stand for?

PR stands for Personal Record. This is the fastest speed in miles per hour that you can maintain for 1 minute. Every interval speed in class is based on your PR. A 2-3-minute self-led digital experience on the treadmill at the beginning of class will tell you your PR.

Purchasing Options

Do you offer a monthly membership?

No. Precision Run does not offer memberships. Class series are available from single runs to 30 runs. If you plan on running regularly, we recommend you purchase a larger series with a price discount. To see pricing, click here.

Do you offer a special rate for first-timers?

Yes. We offer a special package for first-timers called the Starting Line Series that consists of 3 runs at a discounted rate. To purchase, click here.

How can I purchase a class or run series?

Create an account, log in, and add your credit card. From there, you can purchase runs in the app, online, or at the studio.

Can I transfer my classes to another account?

No. Classes are non-transferable.

Do classes expire?

Yes. Class expiration dates depend on the type of run series that you purchased. For information on when certain classes expire, click here.

Do you offer refunds or can I use a class credit toward merchandise in the studio?

No. Run series purchases are redeemable exclusively for class booking.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes. We offer digital gift cards that can be purchased online, or physical gift cards available at the studio. Our gift cards never expire, and the person you are giving them to can use them to buy classes or any kind of merchandise. Once a class is purchased using a gift card, it will expire just like any other class purchased. If you would like to buy a gift card, please click here.

Do you offer corporate events or private classes for groups?

Is there a Precision Run app?

Yes. We encourage you to download the app to purchase and book runs and keep track of your data. Get it here.

How do I set up my profile in the app?

Booking Policies

Do I need an account to book a class?

Yes. You must have an account to book a class. Adult runners can create an account online, at the studio, or by calling the studio. Runners under the age of 18 can create an account at the studio, provided a parent or guardian is present.

When do classes become available for booking?

At noon, 1 week (7 days) prior to the class. That means that at noon on Monday, you can book all time slots for the following Monday. Booking is available in the app, online, or at the studio.

What is the maximum number of treadmills that I can book for one class?

You can book up to 3 treadmills for a single class. One for yourself and 2 for guests. All guests must create an account and sign a waiver prior to class.

Do you offer an advanced booking option?

Not yet, but soon.

How does the waitlist work?

If a class is full, you can choose to be added to the waitlist. If you get a spot, you'll receive an email confirmation. If not, your class will be added back to your account.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel online, in the app, or by calling the studio. All classes must be canceled by 5PM the night before class, or the class will be deducted from your account.

What is your late policy?

If you are not checked in 5 minutes before class, we reserve the right to give your treadmill away to the next person on the waitlist. If your treadmill is still open, you may join the class up to 5 minutes after the class starts. You cannot enter the studio after this time for safety and experiential reasons.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Yes. If there are treadmills open before class, we take walk-ins. Please be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts.

Do you have lockers?

All studios have lockers with built-in locks and charging capability. We also have separate restrooms and changing rooms.

Do you have showers and other amenities?

Yes. Our studios have changing rooms complete with showers, toiletries, and other special amenities.

Do you have WIFI?

Yes. All studios are equipped with WiFi.

Are food and beverage available for purchase at the studio?

Yes, we have a variety of performance beverages, bottled water, and bars available for purchase. You can also bring your own water bottle to fill up, which we highly encourage. Additionally, we offer a fill your own bottle option for performance drinks at our Hyrdro Bar.

It's my first time, how do I check in?

When you arrive at the studio (we recommend 15 minutes in advance), check in with the front desk. The staff will help you sign in, give you a tour of the studio, and get you set up on the treadmill.

Do I need to sign a waiver before my first class?

Yes. All first-time runners must sign a waiver before class. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver. Waivers are available at the studio.

Can I text or use my phone while in class?

Phone usage is discouraged during class, but perfectly fine after to capture and share info from your run.

Do you have childcare at the studio?

No. Unfortunately, we don't.

I'm an Equinox member, do I get a discount on classes?

We don't offer a discount, but being an Equinox member does have its perks. Call the studio or ask someone at the front desk for details.

What is the return policy on retail items?

Retail items must be returned within 30 days of purchase, unwashed, and unworn, with tags still on. Items must be returned to the Precision Run studio. Upon return, you will receive a credit on your acount that can be used for anything at Precision Run (series, merchandise, etc).

Can I use cash for purchases at the studio?

Our studio is cashless. We only accept credit and debit cards.
